Death note

Death Note is an amazing anime in my opinion,the story line plays on a kid in college who gets the ability to kill anyone he wants with a note book dropped by a shinigami, which is a god of death. The story revolves around wheather its better for criminals to rot in jail, or be killed automatically, the main characters name is light, he is highly intelligent and his father works for the police in japan. when the top detective is brought in to investigate you find out that the main character is smarter than you could ever think, but he ends up becoming an insane freak, but I wont ruin the whole thing for you. My favorite character in the series was a guy named matt, or a guy named near, but both of them dont come along until far in the series, anyways, death notes an awesome anime, if you like anime check it out.
